SNHSS has been established in the year 1998. At present, 660 students studying in the school in the plus one and plus two classes. First Principal in charge of the school was Smt. Rajamma. At present there are 25 teaching staff and 2 non-teaching staff at the Higher Secondary Section.

A Lower primary school was started with 293 students having 5 Nos of 1st standared and 1 No of 2nd standard in June 1960 in the Sree Narayana Mandiram building constructed by the Thiyya Samajam and inaugurated by Sahodaran Ayyappan in 1958. Smt. O.K. Madhavi Amma was the first Manager of the School. Smt. Kalyani Ramachandran has been appointed as the first Headmistress of L.P. School. Later the School was upgraded as Upper Primary School in 1964 having 1500 students and the strength of Staff enhanced to 44 including 35 Teachers and 9 non teaching staff. In the Year 1976, the school was upgraded as High School. Sri. C.K. Prakashan has been appointed as the first Head master in the High school. He was awarded with President’s National Award for teachers in the year 1993. This school has attained 100% results in 10th standard during the last seven years. The golden jubilee celebration of school was inaugurated by Sri. V.S. Achuthanandan, then Chief Minister of Kerala, in October 2010. The concluding meeting of Jubilee Celebration was inaugurated by Sri. Vayalar Ravi, Central Minister on 26.11.2011.
