The Ernakulam Sree Ayyappan kovil temple is one of the most prominent Lord Ayyappan temples in Central Kerala. This famous temple is located at Ayyappankavu, hardly 1 km from Kacheripady Junction on the way to Chittoor in Ernakulam District. Sree Ayyappan is the presiding diety, and Lord Ganapathy, Lord Shiva, Goddess Bhadrakali. Lord Subramanian are the sub dieties here. Three poojas are conducted daily.

There is Neeranjana Pradikshanam and Navodhara Kalasabhishekam in every Saturday. The important offerings of the temple are Saneswara Pooja, Uthram pooja, Elluthiri, Ghee lamp, Chuttuvilakku etc. The Pilgrims used to go Sabarimala from this temple after kettunira. Annadanam is given to the devotees in every Saturday.
